I was present when one of the Executive Mangagers of FoundStone was first told of the presentation made by JD. All he was told was that the way the information was displayed was very similiar to FoundScan and the first words out of his mouth were about "intellectual property" and lawsuits.

I had forgotten that JD was once part of the FoundStone team. After being reminded of that, and seeing just how little merrit the FoundStone case seems to have, I wonder if this wasn't more of a personal thing. Too bad if it was. Up until this point I've had a fair amount of respect for FoundStone. This whole episode stank from the get go and had me wondering what was really going on.

Well written article, Tim.
