I've rarely seen a column on SF that loses all credibility after the first half of the first sentence.

To claim that the .NET platform is an inherent risk to information security and a dangerous move towards Microsoft controlled computing is like saying that J2EE is an inherent risk to information security and a dangerous step towards Sun controlled computing. Last time I checked, all the major vendors (Sun, IBM, Oracle, Microsoft) were huffing and puffing about web services.

Yeah, the motivation behind Palladium might be greedy and malicious. Microsoft bits are dirty and evil. You must resist the temptation!
