Mark, You have hit the nail on the head with your column. The knee-jerk reaction of realizing that we allowed 9/11 to happen is bad enough, but now with the proposed laws regarding crypto, guess what...we're on our way to becoming a police state fast. Prosecutors will use every damn weapon in their arsenal, and this proposal is a heavy hitter! Do we need it? No, plain and simple. Why? Have you noticed that we have heard so very little from our friends at the NSA? I'm sure they are not worrying about it, with their resources. If the feds are so worried about it, let them stop their politics and in-fighting and just do the job. Thanks for a really insightful column today! Gimme
