Here's another point to ponder: is it fair to compare, as this article certainly does, unfunded open source software projects versus highly funded closed source projects?
This article fails completely in the admittance that high-level programs written by hungry software companies have just as many if not more security holes or oversights as open source projects. Especially when bugs are compared on a per-program basis, and not on an apple-vs-oranges level as in this article.
