Tim Mullen, 2003-04-27

With Windows Server 2003, Microsoft has finally produced an operating system that isn't begging to be hacked on the first boot.

To all *nix users: please post comments based on FACTS.

None of you have ever used W2K3 so don't pretend you have and that you are an expert on its inner and outer workings. Do not post irrelevant or false comments (i.e. see "lies").

This is a preemptive notification for what is sure to be "oh, this is just another piece of MS garbage" discussion by some of you clueless people. First strike taken. Help clean up the garbage posts of securityfocus which often says the same old sh*t over and over...

"Mullen is an MS sheep!"
"Windows is broken"
"It's a Microsoft conspiracy"
"This article is Symantec's doing"
"There is no way of securing windows against unknown vulnerabilities"
"What about viruses?"

We've heard them all before (likely from the same people, over and over) - so don't bother. These types of comments add nothing to the discussion and only show others how little you know.

If you wish to "stir the sh*t" with the MS boys, then go read all of Mullen's other post discussions - all of these typical *nix babblings have been addressed by various MS professionals who choose to take the time to show up your irrelevancies. Although most don't bother, they have real work to do during the day. So flame away *nix holy fanatics!

Thanks!
