With Windows Server 2003, Microsoft has finally produced an operating system that isn't begging to be hacked on the first boot.

Uh, wait a second.

What exactly are you trying to say here?

One site running .NET server is hardly going to attract a lot of scrutiny from vuln hunters or h4x0rs. Even if it is microsoft.com.

While your numbers are correct, .NET server is currently only serving 30,000 hostnames according to your netcraft link. Hardly an attractive target either.

Do you really think either of these facts says anything at all about how secure .NET server is? Do they appear to you to have any impact on when the first critical update is going to come out?

Yeesh.
