The University of Calgary's new course in virus-writing begs the question: is it a cheap publicity stunt or just boneheaded educating?

I think it's great, the sooner people realise and learn that virused and the anti-virus industry is nothing more than smoke and mirrors, the better.

The inner cabal of the AV sector would have everyone believe the a virus and what it does is some unbelieveably complicated computing and that only a select few are capable of handling them. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

It is amazing that grown men and women convene and elobrate conferences, cluster in tiny isolated labs, spew doomsday at every mutated byte they come across, all the while huddled over some 15 year old kids creation.

Billions of dollars to review the work of teenage age kid. Wonder who the loser's are here. Elaborate speeches, eloborate papers all written by aging adults about the works of little kids.

PATHETIC.

What's more amazing is the negligence the anti-virus community is guilty of, when the exact same worms and viruses keep coming out and are not detected. How many bins, .pifs, .scr contain the plaintext word 'SMTP' or Sexx, or Hax0R that an idiot with a hex editor could look at and determine it is a file to be deleted. Of course the super complicated and brilliant anti-virus software cannot even recognise this.

I am sure it could, but then were's all the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ if you don't need updates.

To hell with the AV industry, their time is a coming. Once people realise that what they do is nothing more than bullshit and the myth and mysteria of viruses are shattered, down will their sales.

They all don't want the mystery of want amounts to nothing spectacular if you know what it is, to be shattered.
