Adding Security to the Cert
Tim Mullen, 2003-06-09

Shiftless third-party prep courses have made MCSE certification less valuable. Is Microsoft's new security cert doomed to the same fate?

That's because in 99% of the corporate world, *nix doesn't exist, yet all of the fanatics out there seem to think that there is some big "Linux revolution" going on, where all Windows boxes are being phased out. I find this very amusing considering every company I've ever worked for has been a Windows shop, and so are their partners. Perhaps this is because global corporations would never use an OS designed by a bunch of kids who act like the majority of people posting on these threads (i.e. see this thread and ZDNET).

The sad thing is, there are sooo many kids out there thread-whoring on boards that really should be used for meaningful discussion... they bash Windows with each other and shoot down the occasional person who disagrees with them. They think these huge numbers of MS bashers mean that they are starting to dominate the market, but unfortunately, all it means is that there are more mature individuals out there then there are 9 year olds who actually have WORK to do during the day in the real world and have families and LIVES, and just won't be bothered with silly children's ridiculous views on the IT industry in silly little forums like ZDNET. Hey, if this is progress for you, great, bash away - see what it gets you in life, while we work for a living and keep the industry moving you can post-whore all you like and give nothing to the industry (except maybe a few good laughs).

Sorry, but there is no security, stability or reliability in an OS that has all of its doors open to the public. There is no accountability, that is why the open source model is broken and will only ever stay within the realm of the parents basement.
