"I do whatever I want to my car, and grease monkeys like you do what ever I tell you to."

...and the grease monkeys will happily hand you a multi-thousand dollar bill for parts and labor when you eventually have to repair the thing, and your car will incidentally be out of commission for a week in the meanwhile.

And that my friend is how security works, except it ends up costing a LOT more than a mere couple thousand bucks to recover from a compromised network. This is why clued-in companies are smart enough to enforce security and user policies in the first place, yes?
