So what? Each tag has a unique signature so that makes it an excellent tracking device. What do the ridges and swirls in fingerprints mean to investigators? Nothing. It doesn't matter what they mean. It's enough to know that they can be used to identify a particular individual. AND THAT'S THE POINT.
