Surely that would have a larger range, as it could conceivably be woven into clothing and take up the entire surface area of the garment?
Newer materials that offer such properties for other purposes can be made inexpensively when economy of scale, refinements in munfacturing processes etc. are considered.
Are Unisys working on similar technology or something? Is that why you are decrying the possibility of it happening?
I'll have to ask around at the Uxbridge office about research projects being carried out in conjunction with them or other UK offices.
Or maybe they do it there, in conjunction with Brunel University, after all they're just around the corner, almost literally.
