XML product information database run by the government. This should be
freely available to the consumer.
A USB kitchen balance with RFID would then scan and weigh the bottle, you
would fill your glass, put the bottle on the balance again and put it
away.
Your computer could then communicate with your kitchen balance using USB
and you could run a diet program which would then tell you what and how
much you have consumed and what kind of nourishment's you are still
missing according to the diet you have chosen, and if you bothered to
scan your inventory it could even make suggestions on what to eat.
The balance could also tell you that the product your scanning has
gotten a warning because something with the serie has gone wrong during
production and the factory placed a please-return-warning in the database.
The database could contain more details on ingredients in multiple
languages, making it easier to analyse border-crossing products.
Instead of RFID-labels spying on you, the consumer would get the power.
Marketing people would offer you money if you give them your log file so
they can see when what product is consumed by which member of the
family. This would be more effective then profiling buyers and thus
would create more privacy for people who don't participate.
