I think that professionals following the advice on "blogs" are about the last thing the security community needs.
Most of these blogs are run by individuals, making the information presented no more credible than an alt.flame thread on NetNews.
All we need is some of the many impotent "Security Officers" out there reading this type of unsubstantiated information and making security decisions based on it like it was real news.
What's next month? "Google -- the new WAIS"?
Speaking of real news, what ever happened to that "SecurityFocus Pager" application? It was a good idea, but seemed very buggy. SF would be better off dumping this type of column and putting the money into making a better pager application!
