A common ground and agreement? Nahda. If it were the old days, American would havent sent in the troops to reverse the tide.

I don't think anyone from America can justify their wages if it's compared to workers from India/China, high tech or low tech, doesn't matter.

Thing is, forget what the media says about prosperity in China. Lives in China and India are still mostly miserable - capitalistic barons cut their profit by paying their underlings CHEAP - shitty pay and long hours.

Wake up people, we're not going to fight these nations by forever cheaper wages and longer hours. John Snow tried to alleviate some of that pain by convincing the Chinese to float their "Yuan" (chinese dollar) freely in the money market in an effort to make our products/services more competitive. The Chinese shrugs at this of course.

Some other suggest the idea of "global union" - but that's not going to happen until there is a democratic government in China am I right?

So, until the day when that happen, China and India sucking us up fast. Multinational continues to exports jobs and import hell (Industrial Revolution - long hours and shitty pay)!

Don't get me wrong. Capitalism probably works in long hual. It's a system with foundation on balance of power. But with China/India exporting cut-throat competition in unprecedented scale, you're going to see bad disruption everywhere in developed nations.

We're desparately in need of a third option besides capitalism and communism. We're not going to fight CHina and India with cheap labor, shitty hours and shitty work place. Everyone stands to lose except the fat WTO officials and the world's richest.
