Just another factually flawed Microsoft bashing. If you read between the lines, you'll find an appauling series of mistakes which were made by the administrators of these systems. Even A/V vendors failed to release signature updates for this before it was too late. At least Micrososoft published a patch over a month ago and say what you will about that patch's ablity to prevent all future RPC based attacks, which soon followed. The bottom line is it made your system safer if you actually took the time to apply it, a critical step few took. The criticism of Microsoft definitely exists but the shame should be shared with all of us.
