Lost in Translation
Tim Mullen, 2003-09-22

We spend money, increase administration, and take away functionality. Is it any wonder that security people are so misunderstood?

Frankly I find this mockery of Japanese disturbing. While it may be dismissed as something cute or clever by the author, it is still offensive. Clearly the author while trying to be cute or clever and going so far as to --- as all racists do --- state his claim that he 'loves' Japanese people and the way they speak.

In his warped logic he has forgotten about his own language. English.

"Remember always that Silence is Golden: if you want things to say quiet, then give us your gold."

I believe that should be 'stay' quiet. But correct me if I am wrong, for I am Japanese and Blue Screen is Bruce Green where I am from!
