Lost in Translation
Tim Mullen, 2003-09-22

We spend money, increase administration, and take away functionality. Is it any wonder that security people are so misunderstood?

In the autobiographical film about Bruce Lee - Lee and girlfriend are watching Breakfast at Tiffany's in a theater and an asian landlord is reeming them out...Lee appears to be uncomfortable with that scene as the landlord is portrayed as a crazy kook -

There are things that are a part of any culture which can be perceived as negative, funny, or weird, however making a movie which set in Japan without having some Japanese characters demonstrate more than just a few of the following characteristics: gentleness, beauty, swiftness, sexiness, intelligence, empathy, trust, patience, strength, humbleness & a sense of humour etc, or at the very least having some "normallacy" about them...is plainly ignorant; ignorance in this form is jaded, cowardly, and racist.
