Citing a provision of the Patriot Act, the FBI is sending letters to journalists telling them to secretly prepare to turn over their notes, e-mails and sources to the bureau. Should we throw out the First Amendment to nail a hacker?

Secret subpoenas, secret searches of citizens' homes, detention of American citizens indefinitely without charge, military tribunals of American citizens allowed by "Patriot" are PLAINLY IN VIOLATION of the 1st 4th 5th, 6th and 7th ammendments.
Patriot Acts I and II are part of the Bush administration's radical attack on our civil liberties and the Constitution, and have made many of us angry enough to fight back to stop it.
