To mess up a Linux box, you need to work at it; to mess up your Windows box, you just need to work on it.

Doesn't this author have to run his story through a knowledgeable and technical person before it gets posted? I've never seen so many false assumptions and ridiculous claims.
/me suggests that the author administer a Windows 2000 active directory network with 10,000+ users worldwide before pretending he knows Windows in and out. Some of the issues you bring up are outdated and the others have been dealt with a LONG time ago.
Outlook automatically executing code in the preview window??? Do you have any idea how old that is? First of all, why do you need the preview window activated? An AD group policy is all you need to turn this off. Second, this is not inherit 'functionality' to automatically execute stuff, its a bug - and it was patched a LONG time ago - get over it.
Nice rant.
