To me this articles looks a lot more just like a 'call to arms' in trying to be good citizens (before being security pros) and help our friends, neighboors, etc...

[...] We've got to educate our parents, our other family members, our boyfriends and girlfriends, our wives and husbands and partners, our in-laws, our friends and acquaintances, our co-workers, and even the people we just bump into for a few moments at parties. We need to be polite, non-threatening, non-judgmental, and above all, helpful. [...]

Well, this is just a call to help people who know less. I agree 100% in trying to be helpful to other people. Again, this is more a suggestion to be 'Good Samaritans'.... and it does not even want to be addressed to companies...

The attitude of "who pays" is never leading you anywhere GOOD in life!

Life is not about money.
It's about people. And about helping each other. He who knows a bit more helps the ignorant masses.

I think the maing wanted to be just this !!

Don't take things to the extremes...
Stop complaining, stop pointing fingers, and do your best in being a good person yourself.
Nobody asks perfection, just dedication at times.
