Naw, I think he made it quite clear that Linux isn't perfect either, but that the focus of his column is Microsoft. For the simple reason that most home users who don't understand security are Windows users. Not only its shipped with new PCs 99% of the time but it also has the biggest market penetration.

But once you got arround to install Linux, you have some understanding of your system and you understand at least the basics of why its important to install some critical patch now and then.

And lets face it, GNU/Linux/OS may have more patches (also because there simply is more software, as the writer of the next reply pointed out) but I trust that things in the Linux world get fixed asap if a problem is severe. While MS still hasn't released a proper fix for the IE troubles where simple browsing to an URL can f*** up your machine beyond recognition. And please don't get me started on the RPC fixes from MS which simply didn't work, and caused triple work here in my shop ...
