As a security professional with a near-80 year old mother who uses broadband and wants to do Internet banking, and a professional who doesn't want to spend time each and every week updating the machine, I bought her an Apple, checked the configuration, placed it behind a hardware firewall, and now just work with the wetware. Why mess with the "we're working on it and we'll get it right sometime" vendor when an absolutely compelling alternative exists.
