problem except for the obvious fact that
individuals who are using this legacy software
are doing so because they cannot afford any
better. After working with machine after machine
for hours, which really should be scrapped for
any useable parts, and then seeing individuals
come in to pick up the machine that look like
they haven't had a meal in a few days, I begin
to understand why 20% of users out there are
still using Windows 98. I think your assessment
of things is good however, I think the real
issue here is what IS stopping people from
upgrading? Hardware costs? Software costs? Or both combined?
Let's treat the problem at the root. Perhaps
if upgrading was not so expensive, perhaps users would be.
