I'm an American Expat, working for several years as a Technical Security Analyst now - most currently at one of the top 5 largest GSM operators in the world.
Like many GSM operatators in Europe, we host 3rd party content providers on our network as part of a larger Value Added Stratagy. On this 3rd party content provider network we host, we have several online gambling games & pending government approval, we will be expanding our online gambling services even further.
Furthermore, although we are European based, we have representation in the USA, and have many mobile partners in the USA.
So just how is it that the US DOJ would single me, a Info Security professional, from the rest of the Mobile Telco I work for, as being the culprit? Wouldn't / Shouldn't the DOJ then go after the managing executives of this Telco instead of me, the lowly InfoSec analyst, who's just doing their bidding as an employee / contractor?
Since I've been involved in assessing the security of these gambling sites for my employeer - does this mean I should seek immediate legal assistance back in the USA, so I don't run into issues when I want to go home in the next year or two?
