What about hardware? 2004-03-30

Would this apply to companies selling hardware as well as to individuals selling services? For instance.. Let's say a US company named PIXCO sells a firewall appliance to the gaming outfit in the Caymans. And let's suppose that PIXCO wrote a users manual that is actually written well enough that the end user is able to properly configure the PIXCO device. Would this then make PIXCO complicit since it knowingly sold the firewall with sufficient instructions to harden the site? What if the gaming outfit bought the PIXCO device from CDW? Does CDW become liable for aiding in a criminal act?
