well...for one thing this isn't out yet so what's YOUR point of even mentioning it. Probably when it comes out it will create more new holes than it actually fixes. You may as well have touted the future Longhorn and whined abou that....
If you want to the "victims" to take a stand how about make it crystal clear to them from the outset that what they are entering into is not exactly the "internet ready appliance" they have just bought, not the "Microsoft one click Office or ease of use operating system" it is being marketed as. How about plastering the CD discovers with BIG read CAUTION: labels, seal the keyboard in shrink-wrap with "USE AT YOUR OWN RISK" labels.
How about being honest for once and not trying to steal the cake so that you can eat the whole damn thing yourself. Power tools come with warnings and people have learned over time not to stick a jig-saw in their mouth and press the shiny button. Hardware comes with warnings, not sit in the bathtub and cradle your harddrive.
Yeah, lets see some educational measures from Microsoft, CAUTION: DO NOT CONNECT TO THE INTERNET UNTIL YOU HAVE APPLIED OUR PATCHES ADDRESSING OUR FLAWED PRODUCTS
Make that the first thing they see when they install the OS, put that red sign on the shelf where they by the software.
HAHAHAHAHHa....go find another cake and eat that too.
