Consequence for a reward system 2004-05-20

Rewards is a nice idea as long as Microsoft honors their commitment. A previous poster didn't seem to think that M$ paid a dime for the Sasser guy. Maybe they should maintain a busted hall of fame on their site with what they paid for the reward and when.
The consequences that I think may happen is that Hackers may decide to become more secretive. Sort of like the Spammer guys are becoming. As the desire to keel-haul (old Naval punishment) the spammers has gone up, they go underground more. As a guy who got over 1500 spam messages in the past 12 hours, I would like to see flogging and burning at the stake brought back for them. I'll settle for them serving their time in a Turkish or Sudanese prison (you know, outsource the prison detention).
I hadn't read your previous post, however you are very in your face. I felt almost as if I was at my kids elementary school (many years ago) - ... na na I was right, you were wrong so you are a ... well you get the idea. I guess I'll be the teacher here and tell you to go stand by the building for 5 minutes.
