Just as I read your article one user came to tap my shoulder asking for help with his windows 2000 platform. We did some virus scanning, spybot S&D inspection and found about six different spyware / adware / virus boogies in the workstation. After my analysis from our central virus monitoring server, I found out that all of them were hitchikers from the malware carrier software called Internet Exploder.

I've had a lengthy campaign against IE in our company and users usually use mozilla or opera. But - it only takes one user who's careless! The issue can't be resolved unless IE is somehow completely destroyed, demolished and stomped to ground. To be honest, I've learned to hate it personally.

Now all we need is handy OSS program that removes IE once and for all from any windows platform. This could be a lifesaver in big organizations.
