I have been using SlimBrowser for 2 years that uses IE engine but has all the suggested new features on Firefox plus a few more.

I found the following additions in Slimbrowser:
1) Slimbrowser automatically opens a new tab (configurable) when user types a new URL. Need to open a tab first in Firefox before opening a new site/page.
2) Allows to set automatic prefix and suffix i.e. user types google or hotmail and it automatically adds www. and .com (both configurable) automatically.
3) Support for alias. Users can create as many aliases as they want which map to long URLs - rather neat if you have very long list of favourites.
4) Auto fill forms and Login to frequently used/visited sites.

I did find some problems on Firefox and hope someone will fix these soon.
A) Does not find all the web-sites, even thought they are crawled and indexed. (I do not mean through search engine) Type a full URL and sometimes it can not find the sites, which can be seen on the same machine and network by other browsers.
B) Expands the Date() function to report Time Zone, +/- Hours, and full description. Need additional scripting to suppress these details if user only want to show date and time.
C) Does not recogonise all Fonts.
