Apple's OS X is not safer or less susceptible to vulnerabilities and viruses than other OSes, and Apple's secretive culture is bad for the security world.

Safari is based on an open source kernel (KHtml) and Mac OS X is based on an open source Unix kernel (Mach and BSD). If all these things are "open," krackers are able to see exactly where vulnerabilities lie and present attacks to "get them," but CERT and the Department of Homeland Security haven't recently (ever as far as I know) told the general public not to use Safari/Mac, but they *have* told us not to use Internet Explorer/Windows. This message wasn't put out about IE/Win because it is safe and secure.
*Get a life*, and this includes the author of this hit piece on Apple. M$ must really be desperate, on a long slow slide to oblivion, and you Windows lackies must sense it to pile on to an OS that has only 3-4 percent market share. As I said earlier, if you like Wintel so much go, no one over here will stop you, and don't let the door hit you in the butt on the way out. And before you tell me how stupid I am, I am running a hardware firewall, and control outgoing port communications from my computer, and in 15 years of Mac usage, I have never had a virus (or trojan or socially engineered krack) affect me.
Fear-mongering on your part is contemptible, but the stuff going out about Windows/Internet Explorer is coming from major govermental bodies (who in all likelyhood use Windows) and it is being published to prevent Internet activated crimes from occuring. Grow up, tiny children.
