Unfortunately, it's completely feasable, and already very underway. Perhaps you haven't heard of "Trusted Computing", "Palladium", "TCPA", or the "Trusted Computing Platform Alliance". They've played with the naming several times, when people start to catch on.
Intel & Microsoft, along with a host of other big, rich, & powerful companies/interests, are, unfortunately, probably going to get there security. There answer to the problems faced, is total in your face control.
Anyone who looks into this can see, that this is the case, and, where it's going. It's very connected to the world situation. Has anyone heard of the wireless credit cards VISA is testing in Europe; couple them & Trusted Computing with Wal-Mart(transfering power away from the U.S.A. with there outsourcing AKA Economic Warfare) & Target pushing RFID(Radio Frequency Identification), and we're looking at a cashless society. A purportedly, "crimeless", society. Where the capability, to not conform, is extremely mitigated, or exterminated altogether.
In short, we're in, World War X. Is 1984 just around the corner? Or, are people already very divided? Are we already in a state of being, where there's so much manipulation & confusion, that people can't tell who the enemy is? Note the political division in America & the world. My my, a national intelligence director too, oh, what power they could & probably will have. Wow, seems to me, some entities, somewhere, are pulling an awfull lot of strings. All the change that has & is being justified by 9/11, is awfull convenient for some.
