Um, I agree with the sentiments you expressed but your logic is faulty at best. Unless you are actually of the belief that China isn't monitoring their subjects, er, citizens 1000 times more closely than our government is? Come on. Not only is all of their internet use tapped, it is filtered to a few 'authorized' domains.
Try another example and your argument might be slightly more believable...
