Bill Gates Is Right?
Scott Granneman, 2004-11-19

Bill Gates is right about one thing: asking people to use a two-factor form of authentication would go a long way toward alleviating a lot of the password problems that plague computer security today.

Smart Cards may prove very helpful, however, I too doubt the feasability of biometrics. Identity theft has already been breached where fingerprints are concerned and likey soon will be breached in DNA, etc. I doubt we can incorporate a technical solution that the criminal mind cannot circumvent. Key cards, synchronized mutating private keys, and the humble password are likely the best (economics driven) solution to be had.

By the way, time is our own human invention and only relates to the chronology of earth. As a Christian I agree with Hartmann Schedel that we have been and continue to be in the last days. It is an era without temporal bound that began at one event, the first resurrection, and will end at another, the final resurrection. I dare say that anyone living at that moment will have no doubt regarding that event.
