Bill Gates is right about one thing: asking people to use a two-factor form of authentication would go a long way toward alleviating a lot of the password problems that plague computer security today.

I manage both the facility access card system and systems passwords. I have as many people forget the physical card to access the building as I do their passwords. They would forget their smart card just the same and my workload would not change. Anytime you have a physical item to remember ? people being human ? will forget it.
And yes, I have to agree with disagreeing with Bill Gates.
