We are sending people to prison because of an inconvenience (a big one but still, an inconvenience). Anyone who agrees with such stiff penelties because they were inconvenienced is begging for more stupid government legislation. Don't get me wrong I hate spam to, but the sudden response from a bunch of porn surfing old gezzers in Washington (which a large majority of their systems were zombies for spam industry, according to USA Today) to all of a sudden take action at such an extreme level is ridiculous. Fine the companies responsible to the point of bankruptcy, give them community service to educate the masses on how to protect themselves, or even better make them do the same thing the tabbacco companies have to do, make them do public service annoucments, but not 9 years in prison.
