I agree entirely. Microsoft's anti-piracy measures seem to only ever cause an annoyance to users as they have to waste the same amount of time either proving they have a legit copy or obtaining a new working pirate.

Either they should find a way to prevent piracy or give up trying to encourage a few people to buy a copy while irritating the rest of us with lengthy, interrogating steps and an infuriating windows update that requires me to start and set the windows update service to automatic.
