I have no love for pirates, but I know people who rip off Windows and I know people who buy it legally -- and it's the legit owners who have more hassle. If Microsoft's aim is to drive it's legitimate consumers into the arms of alternatives, it's doing a mighty fine job of it.
Personally, I'm happy as I am -- an exclusively Linux user, piracy-free and without giving a cent to Microsoft.
