People who own stakes in business often have a very different outlook from those who do not. Incidentally, I DO vote my Microsoft shares, and although I do not even have proxy votes to those shares which populate some of my mutual funds, I am still affected by ownership of them. I consider them holdings, even if I cannot vote them.
