At least a few people get it. Microsoft is not guarding the only freshwater well in the desert and charging a king's randsom for the privledge of a sip. They are not witholding a cure for cancer that will save Auntie Bess until you pony up 6 million dollars. They are offering a product they created which they will sell at whatever the market will bear... just like Ford, just like Cisco, just like every other company in the counrty. Saying you need a car to get to work and do your job does not give you some nebulous license to play Robin Hood and steal an SUV from your neighbor. We really need to get back to an ownership mindset instead of this entitlement attitude.

People who own stakes in business often have a very different outlook from those who do not. Incidentally, I DO vote my Microsoft shares, and although I do not even have proxy votes to those shares which populate some of my mutual funds, I am still affected by ownership of them. I consider them holdings, even if I cannot vote them.
