I had a friend who had his test kicked back because of foot noting, the comment was they didn't like the way he did it, not that is was incorrect or incomplete. How trivial.
Unfortunately, many see the certification as a cash COW for SANS.
While the training is good, the cost is too high and the ROI is not worth the effort.
Lets face it, how many of the hackers we security professional track have certifications.
