I recently worked in one of the three call centers that provides the #1 Ranked Tech support for Macintosh computers and coming from a programming/security oriented background I was shocked to realize how much faith people have in their mac's to be absolutely bulletproof.

By and large, the majority of Mac users believe that there it is impossible to get a virus on a macintosh, regardless of OS (i dealt with 9-10.3). We were even encouraged to promote this mentality and I was actually written up for informing a user that there always existed the potential for new security flaws to give way to the creation of new viruses.
