My only real concern with apple and security is that when an exploit is released apple drags their feet in releasing patches. And even more ironically the patches sometimes do more harm than the exploit itself.

On another note, I totally agree with the notion that for a long time now Apple has been secure through elitism. But now that the $500 Mac is available we shall see if this is still the case in a few years. Given Apples creative yet sometimes technically challenged user base the prize is pretty high for Apple user data. Again the market is very small for Apple users but the prize is very high with most users of Apple Computers being higher education, research, creative types, and celebrities. We could have another Paris Hilton sidekick issue very soon only this time it could be their iPhoto.
