I wouldn't say that $thousands sunk into cleaning off Macs constitutes no affect on the Macs either. We spent $0 cleaning the PCs, as their virus protection stopped the virus cold.
This is a virus that spread from Mac to Mac and caused damage (i.e. incurred cost to our organization); isn't that what you were so certain couldn't happen?
This sentiment really worries me, because 'eyes-closed' security is a time bomb. Please, for the sake of your customers, don't assume Macs cannot be infected. I'm here telling you that it can happen, and HAS happened to us.
