Mark's wife is probably a slightly above average end-user with nominal skills. There is no point in her having r00t status. Why? Because she could inadvertently F*** things up, hosing everything -- now do you get it? I'm willing to bet that she doesn't even WANT full admin privs.

PS) You can never be too rich, too thin, or too careful. This has nothing to do with being suspicious about your loved ones - you don't give your loved ones power to fubar things, and they probably don't care to have it either.
