If your biggest problem is someone (maybe you) deleting your data, or you system, you aren't paranoid enough.
The real harm comes when you CAN'T see what is happening. I'm paranoid enough to worry about the vulnerability I don't know about. Just like I am paranoid enough to worry about the attacker sniffing that I can't see.
