This article hits the point. Mr. Schilly in Germany is about to do the same thing here (allow wiretapping, introduce a Security ID with stored facial features or even digital fingerprint on it, etc, pp.).

To all politicians and voters out there: this kind of "experiment" has failed in other countries already, and it will fail anywhere you try it.

Back in 1939, in Russia, you could tell a political joke to your neighbour, and next day a black car would come around and then there would be another free flat in the house. Later, telling something like that on the phone did put you under police supervision.

The police, itself, was under supervision. The minor KGB officers were under supervision by the major KGB officers, etc, etc. Most were corrupt, and bribery flourished everywhere - but what could you do about it? They were all-powerfull, and you can not fight a system that is corrupt from its roots to its leaves.

SU has broken up and is economically in ruins. Guess why. Think about it. Think twice for what you vote. And then think again. And again. And do not ever forget the lessons the history teaches you!

This kind of supervision does not work *physically* (geometrical progression...), at least as long as we do not have AI.

This kind of system does not work economically, because it becomes corrupt from the inside, and this kills off any healthy economy - the money vanishes in private pockets at geometrical progression in dependance on position.

Every government that gets too much power becomes corrupt *because* of the power it gets. _Why_ should they stop themselves from benefitting from their people? If their people does not stop them, no one will.
