Microsoft and Claria, together at last?
Scott Granneman, 2005-07-13

I don't get mad too easily, but there's one thing guaranteed to really get me steaming, and that's when someone is lying to me. Right now I'm feeling lied to, and while I could be wrong, I don't think I am. Worse, I don't think I'm the only one who's the victim here. I think virtually all of you are having your chains yanked as well.

I think this article has good points. That said I've followed M$ long enough to know that they are not afraid to use there money to gain tactical advantages.

Claria is the preparing for a legal/technical battle. It looks like they may be perfectly legal in there annoying/ installs. My point is that M$ could gain high ground with the acquisition of Claria. I think it might be overly optimistic on my part to see that as the ends to their means, but I would not be surprised if it was purposed based on similar justification.

I deal with this crap everyday. I appreciate M$ or anyone else?s efforts to provide a good tool. I'm not saying M$ is a white knight to be trusted with our security, but since others are so quick to assume their villain. I thought I'd present an alternative motive.
