Comment regarding Mr. Kaminsky response to the question:"
Are cars 100% safe?"

DK: Not at all. Approximately 42,000 people die every year in the United States from car accidents, and that's without organized crime groups throwing down spike strips on the interstate. Tell car companies they're to meet a zero-death standard, even with the spikes -- and they'll either laugh or run screaming. Either way, they won't meet the standard. "

FACT: There were an estimated 6,328,000 car accidents in the US in 2003. The cost of these accidents exceeds 230 Billion dollars. There were about 2.9 million injury cases and 42,643 car accident deaths. An average of 115 persons die each day in motor vehicle crashes in the United States -- one every 13 minutes. According to NHTSA has a legislative mandate under Title 49 of the United States Code, Chapter 301, Motor Vehicle Safety, to issue Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) and Regulations under Title 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 571. Vehicles and equipment must conform and certify compliance to these safety standards.
Mr. Kaminsky provide facts that substantiate his claim of "Tell car companies they're to meet a zero-death standard, even with the spikes -- and they'll either laugh or run screaming. Either way, they won't meet the standard. "

Linux is better than M$, but not to the end user, and the end user drives the market.
