According to the Apple Web site, Security Update 2005-007 was released to the public on August 12, 2005. And, as with all of their recent security updates, it is available to all Apple customers free of charge. I'm sure none of you reading this article will argue with me about that being a good thing.

Add to that the fact that Apple still enjoys ZERO exploits and I think it is a bit premature to take any issue with Apples patching priority. As you said, apple is getting more popular and I hope that as it does it continues to invest more in it's security (as I'm sure it will) but right now the difficulty, combined with the limited numbers of systems, combined with the core security of the OS has kept mac users 100% safe. Doing more, would not make them 101% safe. So from a business standpoint, I have to say apple is doing exactly what they need to.
Enough said!
