If there's one thing I've learned in the past few years as editor of SecurityFocus, it's that there is absolutely no saving grace in the security world. Everyone is a target, everyone is vulnerable and exposed, and no one is safe from, well... anything.

I agree we need safer methods of conducting transactions on-line. However, I don't believe you can blame systemic problems with banking security on teenagers or parents. Furthermore, I did not question anyone's intelligence because their on-line needs differ. I questioned a little old lady's intelligence because she made a series of poor choices which in turn resulted in a drastic increase to the likelihood of her losing her life savings (or in this case, reality). She put all her eggs in one basket without checking to see if her basket was full of holes.
