Anonymity made easy
Matthew Tanase, 2005-09-21

The opening passage to True Names, a novella written by noted science fiction author Vernor Vinge nearly 25 years ago, delivers an eerily prescient summary of modern Internet usage.

"by using unsecured wireless hotspots"
Please say that you never use wireless from the 'negligent' folk and that this practice is NOT ok and that people should exercise personal responsibility and NOT take advantage of those who may not know as much or think the same way. Or is it your opinion that you should exploit the resources (steal) from those who are not smart enough (in most cases for the home user/insecure wireless) or not careful enough to secure their wireless?
Whoops! I forgot to lock my door, must mean I want people in my house/car/wireless network...must mean that I give up all rights to privacy, even though there is no laws against being forgetful or stupid, I now accept that I am going to get taken advantage of because I 'deserve' it for being stupid...yep, its the victim's fault for not being careful enough..yep, please come exploit...

Lets take some responsibility as humans here folks.
